Leif is at Popo and PopPop camp having a great time. Swimming, boating and fishing- what's not for a boy to love! Especially the dolphin that came right up to the boat.

Lazy days of summer are upon us, relaxing at the Blackwater river.

Property by the sea

We finally did it! Two months ago we purchased a lot by the beach. I cannot wait to get our home built on it. I am sure we will have to wait a few years, but it is a small step closer to our dream of living by the Gulf! It is in Seacrest Beach and it is about 12 houses from the beach. A short walk but a high enough distance from the water that we are high and dry. The back of the property touches national forest land and there will be a 132 foot driveway leading to the home. Check back in about 2 years to see progress on this!

Popo is 60

Just to add to the celebrations at our home this month--Popo's 60th birthday.

Two months of Popo's help is quickly coming to an end on Saturday. Atleast we get to have her party here. Although I guess we could have a going away party on Friday!

Thinking you're 3

Sometimes Dallin amazes me because he does so many things that seem like he is older than a year old. He eats off a plate in the backyard like he 3 years old. No spilling or throwing or dropping of the food.

My DALLIN

Dallin, the little guy that always brings smiles to the room. Loves Leif and Max and likes nothing more than to play with them. He is a tough little guy and loves to rough house and wrestle. He is very cuddly and in the middle of being chased around will fall to the floor and cuddle any pillow or person nearby. Interests include: eating, watching brothers play, going outside, playing at the beach and getting wet.

My LEIF

Leif, my oldest little guy. So smart, so inquisitive, very knowledgeable about the universe.Knows all the planets and many random facts about all of them. Does not like to discuss the Pluto debate. All scientific things interest him, from weather to planets. Also very in touch with other's feelings and always wondering how other people are doing and feeling.

My MAX

My Max, is so funny and cracks us up all the time. Although he is very complicated to figure out and usually it's Max's way or the highway! What works one day for Max, does not work the next. Completely opposite of Leif and Dallin. I look forward each day to see what he will do. Leif's favorite expression is, "what is he doing now Mom?" Interests include finding and capturing any type of bug or frog and then displaying them, taking attendence for all family members living close or far, and writing notes in small notepads.
