night-night time

Max was so tired one night after hiking all day he just fell asleep right on the floor under the coffee table. He is just so precious.

3 bugs in the tub!

This was a great size tub that the kids had a lot of fun filling with bubbles and fun foam, they certainly had a lot more room than they usually have at home.

Relaxing at the cabin

What a relaxing Thanksgiving week we had during our stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The kids enjoyed the game room

Leif and hot cocoa, with plenty of cream and 2 lumps of ice cream!

Relaxing in the hot tub!

Relaxing on Shane!

Relaxing on the couch!

Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is a little place on the side of the road that is full of fairy houses large and small. It was fun to look at all the different houses.

Max was so tired from the hike,
he sat this stop out.

Fun World

The kids enjoyed their time at Fun World. We visited twice during our trip. Leif tried the rock wall. Dallin tried the big slide and Max spent his time building with the blocks.

Ice falls

We stopped along the road to take a close look at these very large icicles. We didn't get to see snow on this trip, but for Florida boys they really appreciated seeing icicles!

Leif goes hiking

Leif really enjoyed all the hiking that we did. He learned to respect nature when he almost fell down a very large waterfall. On one of the hikes there was a sign that read: many hikers have fallen to their deaths, please stay on the trail. After I read that sign to him he was right near us the whole time.

His favorite outdoor activity was climbing up the embankment behind the cabin. He was full of Georgia red clay!!

Max goes hiking

Max had a blast hiking. The hikes ranged from 1 mile to 2.2 miles. He did a great job on all of them. He is a true outdoorsman. he hikes until he falls asleep. The entire way we hike, every few mintues we hear a soft voice, "no go home yet" until after awhile we hear "go home now."

He really did well climbing up the steep hills, grabbing onto branches and sticks along the way.

He was so excited to get to the falls!
